What do I need to rent an electric scooter at SmartRide?
To rent an electric scooter with us, you need to have a valid Passport, Identity Card (ID) or international driver’s licence and sign our rental contact.
How can I pay?
You can pay by credit / debit card, cash or even bitcoin.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, when you rent an electric scooter at SmartRide, you will be asked to perform a security deposit (€50) by credit card, debit card or cash. The full amount of this deposit will be refunded if you return the scooter and the accessories in the same conditions as it was given to you.
Will I get my money back in case of a cancellation?
Yes, cancellations are possible and free of charge up to 48 hours prior to the agreed date. For any cancellation made in the 48 hours before the agreed date you will be refunded the amount of the booking less 30%. In case of exceptional bad weather, it will be totally refunded!
What should I wear?
We recommend to wear comfortable clothes. It is adviced to wear garments that keep you sheltered but dry, specially during the winter. High heel shoes are not recommended.
Do I need to wear a Helmet?
No, it’s not mandatory to wear a helmet, it is optional. But we do ask you to wear them in our tours. We will provide one before you start your SmartRide experience and of course, it is included in the rental price.
What does the insurance cover?
The insurance covers damages and health assistance to third parties..
What happens if I run out of battery?
Our scooter will be fully charged for the tour or the rental time. In case you take our scooters or bikes for 24 hours or more, we will give you a charger per vehicle, so you can charge it at your home or hotel room.
Can one adult with one child ride the same scooter?
No, for security reasons it is not possible to share an electric scooter.
Where can I collect the electric scooter or get ready for the chosen tour?
You can collect your electric scooter at our SmartRide store.
